Duties & Responsibilities
Your detailed job scope, duties and responsibilities are as follow:
- Team Management
Build up a strong team of effective operational management crew able to manage clients confidently.
• Focus on hiring individuals with strong leadership and communication skills.
• Support the in-house taskforce to implement continuous training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback. - Leadership & Training
Lead, mentor and train up the team of Operations Executives, Managers and Area Managers in the planning and execution of daily, weekly and monthly deployment.
• Develop a comprehensive orientation program for new joiners. - Induction & Guidance
Check and ensure all new Operations Managers/Executives are properly inducted into the job, site familiarity and specific client requirements (if any).
Review and provide guidance to the Operations team in the planning, execution & delivery of security measures on site and off site.
• Collaboration among Business Development and HR team are required.
• Regularly assess risks and update security measures accordingly. - Operations Oversight
Oversee the overall operations relating to the management and deployment of security personnel.
• Ensure efficient deployment of security personnel based on client needs.
• Use technology to monitor and manage operations in real-time.
• Regularly review real-time and historical data to forecast manpower needs, adjust deployment strategies for off-peak, on-peak, and ad-hoc periods, and communicate changes effectively to the team.
• Responsible for the overall management of the effective & efficient deployment of resources such as Quick Response Team (QRT), Mobile Response Officer and Relief Officers.
• Conduct regular site spot checks ensuring all SOPs procedures are adhered to.
• Check and ensure all officers on the ground are always alert, knowledgeable and proficient in the execution of their day-to-day assignment. - Policy Development
Develop and implement a set of operational policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations, standards and practices.
Plan, review and manage operational budgets and resources with close supervision on the eventual P&L delivery.
Plan, review and execute an effective training plan across all levels of security personnel and build a robust and reputable force within Soverus.
Ability to identify usage of systems in place to aid and enhance security solution in the respective premise. - Client Relations
Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients through regular visits, understanding and fulfilling clients’ requirements.
• Schedule regular visits to understand and meet client needs.
• Actively seek and act on client feedback to improve services. - HR Collaboration
Work closely with HR with the aim of improving processes and efficiency in recruitment and officers’ welfare.
Develop useful, relevant data and/or report trends for Senior Management’s review during the Monthly meeting. - Performance Metrics
Ensuring the LDs for all sites are within the target set by the Managing Director annually.
Pre-requisites:
- Minimum Tertiary in Security management or its equivalent.
- Familiar with HRIS/Manpower deployment system. Eg InfoTECH, IREP, QUICKHR.
- Effective communication skills.
- Strong people management & leadership qualities.
- Strong compliance mindset and planning skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience in PLRD Security Agency Competency Assessment.
- Minimum 15 years’ relevant experience in the security industry with minimum 5 years as Head of Operations in Outsourced Security Agency (preferably overseeing 500 headcounts or more).
- Certified BizSafe Level 2 is essential.
