Dyson’s Global IT – Group Support Functions has end-to-end accountability for the strategic roadmap, design, delivery, and support of all business applications enabling Dyson’s global planning, procurement, manufacturing, supply chain, aftersales, finance, HR, and legal business processes. About the role

The Supply Chain Systems team collaborates with global and regional stakeholders, technology partners, and internal teams to develop roadmaps, oversee programmes, projects, enhancements, and operational support for Dyson’s Supply Chain Systems landscape.

Responsibilities of the Head of Supply Chain Systems include:

  • Providing leadership to the Supply Chain Systems team, comprising professionals in Solution Architecture, Technical Product Ownership, Program and Project Management, Business Analysis, and Operations.
  • Focusing on career development, succession planning, recruitment, onboarding, and fostering a positive culture within Dyson IT.
  • Working with business leaders, product owners, solution architects, and third-party partners to define and implement the strategy and roadmap for Supply Chain Systems.
  • Overseeing DevSecOps practices where applicable to enhance operations and projects.
  • Guiding IT leadership and stakeholders to maximize platform architecture value.
  • Collaborating with the Global IT Director to plan and deliver projects over a three-year horizon.
  • Managing vendor relationships, negotiations, and contracts with procurement and business leaders.
  • Monitoring industry trends and innovations to inform system improvements.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality standards.
  • Managing project risks and issues with effective mitigation strategies.
  • Ensuring compliance with technical principles and governance standards.
  • Identifying and addressing gaps in platform capabilities and managing technical debt.
  • Overseeing global application support processes, including escalation management for major incidents.

  • Familiarity with Supply Chain Technologies (e.g., ERP, WMS, Order Management Systems, Delivery Platforms, Visibility tools) and partners (e.g., SAP, Manhattan, Infor, Blue Yonder, o9, E2Open).
  • Strong business acumen related to Supply Chain Systems processes.
  • Proven experience managing third-party vendor relationships.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to stay updated on market innovations.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
