The Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Retail Function Team:
Dyson's Global IT Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Retail Systems Function has end-to-end accountability for the strategic roadmap, design, delivery, and support of all business applications enabling Dyson's global planning, procurement, manufacturing, supply chain, aftersales, and retail business processes. The team is organized into three domains:
- Planning & Manufacturing Systems
- Supply Chain Systems
- Retail Systems
About the role
The Planning & Manufacturing Systems team collaborates with global and regional stakeholders, strategic technology partners, internal IT professionals, and application teams to develop roadmaps, oversee delivery, and support systems within Dyson's Planning & Manufacturing landscape.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the Planning & Manufacturing Systems team comprising professionals in Product Ownership, Program & Project Management, Business Analysis, Plant IT Operations, and Solution Architecture.
- Fostering career development, succession planning, recruitment, onboarding, and shaping the team culture.
- Working with business leaders, product owners, solution architects, and partners to define and implement strategies and roadmaps.
- Influencing SAP Product Management to deliver operational enhancements.
- Guiding IT leadership and stakeholders to maximize platform value.
- Building and maintaining a project portfolio plan with a three-year horizon.
- Managing vendor relationships and negotiations with procurement and business leaders.
- Staying abreast of future trends and innovations in Planning & Manufacturing Systems.
- Ensuring project delivery within scope, time, cost, and quality standards.
- Managing risks, issues, and technical debt proactively.
- Overseeing operational support for Dyson's manufacturing facilities, primarily in APAC.
- Managing global application support processes and escalations for major incidents.
