Responsibilities

• Command the multi-year architectural roadmap and reference blueprints across on-prem and cloud landing zones.
• Design automated patterns for network segmentation, storage fabrics, and hyper-converged compute using IaC.
• Serve as apex technical authority during cross-layer incidents and translate deep-dives into automated safeguards.

We are not looking for an 'ivory tower' governance profile. We need a formidable technical leader who can author the strategic blueprint for a massive multi-cloud evolution, while possessing the engineering grit to command a war room during complex, multi-layer production escalations. This executive role is critical to aligning technology investments with the institution's long-term strategic objectives.

What You'll Be Doing

• Command the Architecture: Dictate the multi-year architectural roadmap and reference blueprints across a sprawling on-prem estate and secure public cloud landing zones.
• Design for Autonomy: Architect resilient, automated patterns for network segmentation, storage fabrics, and hyper-converged compute using advanced Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) paradigms.
• Elite Escalation: Serve as the apex technical authority. When a critical cross-layer incident hits production, you are the one diagnosing BGP route leaks, ARP flux, and hypervisor resource contention—turning those deep-dives into automated safeguards.
• Engineering Alignment: Act as the strategic bridge between fragmented operations, security, and application divisions, forging a unified, zero-trust engineering culture.

What We're Looking For

You bring over 15 years of combat-tested experience in enterprise infrastructure, with a track record of driving systems from whiteboard design into high-velocity live operations.

• Enterprise Networking: Deep mastery of Cisco/Arista/Juniper routing protocols (BGP/OSPF), edge security, F5 load balancing, and complex L2/L3 topologies.
• Compute & Virtualization: Unrivaled expertise in the VMware ecosystem. You understand the granular mechanics of NUMA boundaries, CPU scheduling, and memory pressure.
• Storage Fabrics: High-performance SAN/NAS/Object storage tiering, latency optimization, and multi-site replication for mission-critical RPO/RTO mandates.
• Public Cloud Vanguard: Proven experience designing and securing AWS/Azure/GCP landing zones, bridging legacy data centers with modern cloud architecture.
