Head of HR & Chief of Staff

Overview

We are seeking an exceptional and versatile professional to serve in the dual role of Head of HR & Chief of Staff, reporting directly to the CEO. This pivotal position will serve as both the strategic leader of our human resources function and the CEO's trusted right-hand, helping to drive organizational effectiveness, streamline executive operations, and ensure alignment across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

- Partner with the CEO to develop and execute organizational strategies that drive business growth and operational excellence.

- Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution, working closely with senior leadership and department heads.

- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, providing insights and recommendations for major business decisions.

- Help define new operational strategies by collaborating with the CEO and other executives on special projects.

Human Resources Leadership

- Create and align human resources objectives with organizational goals and requirements.

- Oversee all HR operations including recruitment, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, and compliance.

- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs that foster a positive and productive work environment.

- Lead strategic staffing plans and talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent.

- Supervise the HR team and establish accountabilities for smooth operations.

Executive Support & Operations

- Act as a liaison between the CEO, executives, senior leaders, and staff regarding company climate, employee well-being, project updates, and planning.

- Manage board meetings, track action items, and ensure efficient execution of leadership decisions.

- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives and maintain effective communication channels across the organization.

- Manage the CEO's priorities and help them allocate time effectively to become the best possible leader for the organization.

- Represent the CEO in meetings when necessary and communicate key decisions and directives to relevant stakeholders.

Organizational Development

- Review, design, and execute improvements to organizational structure.

- Identify knowledge and skills gaps across the organization and develop strategies to address them.

- Lead and manage large-scale projects that impact multiple departments.

- Analyze organizational metrics and data to provide insights for continuous improvement.

- Help maintain and strengthen company culture during periods of growth and change.

Qualifications

Experience

- Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role with comprehensive knowledge of HR functions and best practices

- Previous experience as a Chief of Staff or similar strategic operational role

- Track record of successfully managing complex projects and initiatives

- Experience working directly with C-level executives and boards

- Background in scaling organizations through periods of rapid growth preferred

Education

- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred
