1. Global Portfolio Growth Strategy
- Develop and execute a global business development strategy for the French, China, and US wine portfolios, aligned with Penfolds broader commercial objectives
- Prioritise markets using a Product-Market Fit Scorecard and Market Prioritisation Framework to focus resources where the opportunity to win is greatest
- Lead the commercialisation of new-to-world brands and scale existing brands across priority markets.
- Defining the growth strategy, where to play & KPIs for Global Portfolio COO.
- Partnering with commercial teams to develop plans, drive distribution & depletion strategy & targets.
- Drive accountability, ensuring dedicated support for Multi COO success.
2. Market-Specific Execution
- Adapt strategies to local market dynamics, including consumer behaviour, regulatory environments, and competitive landscapes
- Build and execute tailored activation plans in key regions (e.g. “Art of French Living” in SEA & NA, French Thematic 3.0 in ANZ) and market + consumer relevant activations by key market.
- Partner with regional sales and marketing teams to ensure executional excellence and alignment with local priorities.
3. Commercial Leadership
- Drive depletion growth and distribution expansion through joint business planning with partners in market, on trade, distributors & FWR.
- Working closely with Global RevMan on pricing, promotional, and channel strategies to optimise margin and market share.
- Monitor performance and adjust plans using real-time data and insights.
4. Brand Building & Storytelling
- Champion the unique provenance and positioning of each country-of-origin portfolio.
- Championing our Global Portfolio wine education & storytelling to elevate brand power, with first priority French through FWT.
- Coordination & Alignment with Penfolds global Brand Ambassador team to ensure joint programs to drive overall global impact in priority markets.
- Leading high-profile events & activations to build credibility and demand.
- Lead global storytelling initiatives that elevate brand equity and consumer engagement
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Supply, Marketing, Finance, and Regional LTs to ensure end-to-end alignment from vineyard to consumer
- Influence innovation pipelines and portfolio decisions based on market feedback and commercial performance.
6. Tracking & Monitoring
- Responsible for engaging global teams through a Global Portfolio Performance-Driven Approach
- Implementing real-time tracking of depletion and distribution.
- Regularly adjusting strategy based on market insights & performance metrics
