The Global Client Group (GCG) is a blend of client service and business development professionals working closely with other stakeholders at the firm to deliver an exceptional investment experience for our clients. The Head of Global Client Group, Asia ex-Japan is responsible for oversight and direction of all business development and relationship management for existing, new and prospective clients while organizing and optimizing efforts of client services team members to effectively address the needs of clients and prospects.

The successful candidate must have a solid foundational knowledge of investments, capital markets and asset allocation theory, and the ability to discuss the sophisticated investment solutions that Dimensional provides. They need a global growth mindset, strong business development and client service orientation, and relevant experience working with large, complex regional and global organizations (primarily Financial Institutions) in the region. Also critical is prior experience leading, motivating and engaging a high caliber team of business development and client service professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a sales, marketing and client service strategy for a diverse array of clients and prospects including: Financial Institutions, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Traditional Institutional Asset Owners, Wealth Management and Independent Advisory firms.
  • Motivate and lead a diverse team of Sales, Relationship Management and Client Service professionals while promoting a culture of performance, development, and dedication to excellence.
  • Ensure consistency of sales process and approach, including adoption of CRM to optimize efficiency and decision making.
  • Stay abreast of current and emerging market trends and developments to continually evolve market strategy.
  • Report on sales data, metrics and key findings to Dimensional senior leadership, including global co-heads of Global Client Group and regional CEO.
  • Collaborate with various Dimensional Investment teams (Research, Portfolio Management and Trading) to deepen knowledge and better promote Dimensional’s value proposition.
  • Develop deep relationships with key external stakeholders and decision makers servicing home offices at large, global Financial Institutions.
  • Leverage deep industry knowledge while representing Dimensional at relevant industry events and conferences.
Qualifications
  • A strong academic background is required; an advanced degree or professional designation such as a CFA, is preferred.
  • 15+ years of sales/relationship management leadership experience, ideally gained from working in the Asset Management industry; at least five+ of which were spent in a sales leadership capacity specifically.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build and manage high performing and motivated teams and to clearly articulate a vision to all stakeholders.
  • Sound judgment and an ability to quickly establish credibility and build influence with leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with near-term execution skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner in a variety of settings.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build relationships across diverse constituent groups internally and externally.
  • The ability and willingness to act as a player/coach.
