As a key member of the International Business Development team, the Manager - APMEA Business Development plays a critical role in helping this vision come to life by leading the franchising efforts for new market entries across Asia Pacific and Middle East and Africa. In this role, you will support Wendy's International brand growth plan by driving the strategy, process, tools and teams required to effectively identify, evaluate and select new multi-unit and master franchise partners through the execution of new unit Development Agreements. You will partner in the creation and recommendation of well-developed programs and incentives required to attract APMEA franchise talent, as well as provide new franchisee support in both the traditional and non-traditional development arenas.
Bachelor's Degree with at least 10 years professional work experience preferably in a corporate environment with an emphasis in franchising, recruiting, new restaurant development and/or strategic development.
Track record of success driving franchise recruiting strategy with capability to demonstrate critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills; must be highly driven to achieve results. Requires strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication; Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize;
Detailed knowledge of franchising, restaurant economic model, and new restaurant development related policies and procedures. Experience with franchise recruiting and a network of franchisees in Asia Pacific region is strongly preferred. Broader International exposure and experience is ideal.
Experience with management and supervision of direct and indirect employees.
Management consulting, advisory, or investing banking experience, with focused sectors and experience in QSR, consumer and retail, new market entry and new brand entry in APAC region
M&A, licensing or franchising deal experience
