Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to regional Finance function, and direct the activities of general accounting functions across all Santen Asia subsidiaries (including general ledger and accounts payable/ receivables), ensuring adequate cost accounting processes in place
- Responsible for cash flow forecasting, treasury function and tracking and controlling of fixed assets, including leased equipment
- Ensure accurate compilation, consolidation, analysis and reporting of accounting data in accordance with local statutory and global HQ requirements
- Develop, implement and maintain appropriate financial systems, strong internal controls and accounting policies and procedures
- Support, advise and counsel Region Asia Head and Leadership team on financial implications of strategies, decisions, and business/financial activities and guide commercial functions to achieve financial objectives
- Participate in business planning and forecasting process to ensure financial projections being properly reported and in line with Santen Asia and global HQ requirements
- Interact and work closely with respective departments to ensure that efficient and effective procedures and control are in place and that our business systems are optimized to provide timely and accurate risk exposures, financial reporting and analysis of business results
- Liaise with external parties such as government, auditors, bankers and tax accountants to facilitate audits and tax preparation across all Santen Asia subsidiaries
- Ensure financial and tax reporting processes and procedures are in place to accurately report income tax expenses and deferred tax exposures in compliance with global and local reporting requirements. This include keeping company records organized and readily available for audit examinations
- Ensure treasury processes are in place to accurately report currency exposures, hedging results, and the impact of foreign exchange on business results
- Responsible for publishing monthly financial statements and review, analysis and interpretation of financial reports
