Job description

Havas Media Singapore is looking for a 6 Months' Maternity Contract Head of Finance.

Reporting Line:Chief Finance Officer

Specific responsibilities:

  • Lead the finance team and oversee the P&L, the Balance sheet, the cash flow, including optimization, forecasting, expense management, and budgeting activities.
  • Oversee the accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for all legal entities across Singapore
  • Ensure the accuracy and transparency of our books & records
  • Actively drive the change and improve the processes, eg. reducing their complexity
  • Strive for standardization, harmonization, and digitalization of finance processes in cooperation with the Operational Department
  • Monitor funds in banks for procurement, operations, and unexpected expenses.
  • Oversee financial reports and audit matters.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Develop risk management strategy.
  • Manage GST and income tax matters, tax planning, compliance, and reporting to optimize the company's financial position.
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, CPA or equivalent
  • At least 8 - 10 years of experience with supervisory skills
  • Candidates with experience in conducting internal audits at a business or a statutory audit at a Big 4 accounting firm would be an advantage
