Job description

Enterprise Architecture Lead

EA Organization is responsible for overall Enterprise Architecture & governance, ensuring a robust, consistent architecture and data environment aligned with business strategy and value.

Enterprise Architecture Management delivers business value by making value-based technology investments, prioritizing technology delivery, targeting new technologies and insights, enabling collaboration and innovation, and delivering quality and consistency.

Drive Dyson EA capability development and architecture governance/principalship within and across Dyson architecture domains.

Accountable for the completeness of architecture design and the creation/updates to key EA deliverables at landscape and technical reference model levels.

Responsibilities:
  • Business & IT Strategy: Lead the creation/evolution of the EA function, including the coordination and integration of enterprise information systems, data, technical, and solution architecture viewpoints.
  • Technology Architecture & Innovation: Responsible for overall technology architecture and innovation activities to deliver a future-proof technology landscape with measurable business impact.
  • Analysis & Trends: Identify and analyze enterprise business drivers, industry, technology, and market trends to determine their potential impacts.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure optimal governance structures and compliance activities related to EA.
  • Solution Fitting: Consult with program/project teams to align solutions with architecture across all viewpoints.
  • Organizational Requirements: Define requirements for resources, structures, and cultural changes to support EA.
  • Promotion & Communication: Promote EA processes, outcomes, and results within the organization, including developing communication and education plans.
  • Platform Architecture: Design and prototype platform architectures to enable future business needs, partnering with technology teams for strategic alignment.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Partner with key business and IT leaders to set strategic direction.
  • Open Source & Vendor Evaluation: Champion open source initiatives and evaluate vendors for digital platforms and architectures.
  • Strategic Consulting: Support business & IT strategy with architectural principles, standards, and best practices.
EA Planning & Governance:
  • Planning: Develop and maintain EA planning processes, including enterprise target architecture and roadmaps.
  • Governance: Serve as senior principal for architecture governance, overseeing key issues and decisions.
  • Solution Alignment: Ensure alignment of enterprise architecture to target states across projects and domains.
Architectural Capabilities & Assets:
  • Requirements & Standards: Define architecture requirements, principles, guidelines, and standards.
  • Support & Assets: Provide architectural support to operations and projects, manage architecture assets.
Performance & Communication:
  • Performance Metrics: Define and manage key performance indicators for EA.
  • EA Awareness: Lead communication efforts, evangelize EA, and maintain EA portals.
Characteristics & Deliverables:
  • Energetic, driven, and passionate about working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate in start-up and structured environments.
  • Motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Deliverables include Target Enterprise Architecture, roadmaps, performance reports.
