Purpose:
- EA Organization is responsible for overall Enterprise Architecture & governance, ensuring a robust, consistent architecture and data environment aligned with business strategy and value.
- Enterprise Architecture Management delivers business value by making value-based technology investments, prioritizing technology delivery, targeting new technologies and insights, enabling collaboration and innovation, and delivering quality and consistency.
- Drive Dyson EA capability development and architecture governance/principalship within and across Dyson architecture domains.
- Accountable for the completeness of the architecture design and the creation/updates to key EA deliverables at landscape and technical reference model levels.
- Support solution development efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Business & IT Strategy: Lead the creation/evolution of the EA function, including the coordination and integration of enterprise information systems, data, technical, and solution architecture viewpoints.
- Responsible for overall technology architecture and innovation activities, delivering a future-proof technology landscape that creates evidenced business impact.
- Identify and analyze enterprise business drivers to serve enterprise architecture requirements; analyze industry, technology, and market trends for potential impacts.
- Ensure optimal governance structure and compliance activities related to EA compliance.
- Consult with program/project teams to align solutions with architecture across all viewpoints.
- Define organizational requirements for resources, structures, and cultural changes to support EA.
- Promote EA processes, outcomes, and results within the organization, including IT and business leaders; develop and execute communication and education plans.
- Design and prototype platform architectures to enable future business needs, partnering with technology teams to ensure strategic alignment.
- Partner with key business and IT principals, portfolio managers, and domain architecture management principals to set strategic direction.
- Support evaluation of vendors' digital platforms and architectures, proposing solutions that best fit customer requirements.
- Provide architectural and strategic consulting to support Business & IT strategy, including adherence to standards and best practices.
- EA Planning: Develop and maintain enterprise architecture vision, target architecture, and roadmap.
- Architecture Governance: Serve as senior principal for governance, review, and approval of key issues and projects.
- Solution Architecture: Ensure alignment of enterprise architecture to the target through decision-making and coordination.
- Enterprise Architectural Capabilities & Assets: Define architecture requirements, principles, guidelines, standards, assets, and frameworks; support operations and project delivery teams.
- Performance Management: Define KPIs for enterprise architecture and manage its performance.
- EA Communication & Awareness: Lead communication efforts, maintain EA portals/SharePoint, and promote EA strategy.
- Characteristics: Demonstrate energy, drive, and passion; operate effectively in fast-paced and start-up environments; motivate cross-functional teams.
- Main Deliverables: EA planning process, target architecture, implementation plans, performance reports, key artifacts, and training materials.
- Key Skills: Deep understanding of architecture discipline, strategic planning, cloud platforms, broad technological knowledge, effective communication, and innovative thinking, with experience in security by design preferred.
Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in software engineering, computer science, MIS, engineering, or extensive relevant experience.
