Head of Design (Handbags & Accessories)

As Head of Design (Bags & Accessories), you will oversee the strategic direction, product development, and profitability of the Bags & Accessories category within CHARLES & KEITH. This role is pivotal to our company’s success and growth with the fashion industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive Bags & Accessories category strategy in line with the overall objectives of CHARLES & KEITH.
• Identify market trends, consumer behavior, and competition to guide decision-making.
• Create annual and long-term plans, including sales targets, margin goals, and product assortment strategies.
• Collaborate with design and product development teams to conceptualize, design, and develop CHARLES & KEITH Bags & Accessories collections that resonate with our target audience.
• Manage entire product lifecycle, from concept to production, ensuring quality.
• Monitor and evaluate product performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize assortments.
• Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses and markdowns.
• Collaborate with relevant teams in strategies that promote CHARLES & KEITH Bags & Accessories.
• Ensure alignment with overall CHARLES & KEITH brand identity and values
• Lead a team of designers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Fashion, Design or related field.
• Possess at least 10 years’ experience in similar role in international luxury market and global brands, specifically in Bags & Accessories.
• Strong knowledge of market trends, fashion industry dynamics, and consumer behavior.
• Great analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and lead a cross-functional team.
• Passion for fashion and a keen eye for design and quality.
