As a Head of Department - Special Education (SPED) school, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum, pedagogy, and assessments for the assigned domain/level/track.

  • Customize instructional programmes and monitor student progress, collaborating with families and allied professionals to support holistic student development.

  • Develop and implement programmes for student character and social-emotional growth.

  • Design and facilitate professional development and learning communities; pursue own professional growth.

  • Provide ongoing mentorship, feedback, and performance evaluation to teachers.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to plan and execute school-wide initiatives and projects.

  • Establish and maintain partnerships with families, community, and other stakeholders; oversee communication materials.

  • Manage organisational culture, work plans, budgets, and resources aligned with school vision and priorities.

  • Support staff induction, recruitment, participation in organisation-wide programmes, and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or other relevant qualifications
