About the Role
Data is the foundation of everything we do at TSC. Were hiring a visionary Head of Data to lead our data strategy, systems, and team. This role blends technical leadership with strategic insight, overseeing the full data lifecycle, from acquisition and quality to governance and analytics, and unlocking new value from our fast-growing, globally sourced datasets. You understand the possibilities and challenges that are uncovered by modern AI solutions.
Youll report directly to the Head of Engineering, with direct access to the CEO and leadership team, working across departments to ensure that Genies data infrastructure and insight engine remain best-in-class.
What Youll Do
- Strategic & Technical Leadership
- Execute and evolve our data roadmap with a focus on innovation, quality, and customer value
- Design and deliver scalable data products and pipelines that power Genies insights and stakeholder intelligence workflows
- Champion a culture where human expertise and automation work hand in hand for high-quality, scalable outcomes
- Data Management & Operations
- Own data governance, privacy, and quality frameworks that support regulatory and enterprise-grade standards
- Manage the acquisition and integration of strategic external data sources (e.g., media, government, regulatory, industry, and organizational datasets)
- Ensure our data architecture scales with business growth and system performance demands
- Analytics & Product Insight
- Lead internal BI and analytics initiatives across all functions
- Identify innovative ways to leverage our data assets to build new product lines with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction
- Build and manage relationships with key external data set providers (media aggregators, social feeds, etc.)
- Evangelize data-driven decision-making across product, customer success, engineering, and executive teams
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of data professionals
- Foster a collaborative, high-growth culture with clear goals and development opportunities
What You Bring
- Experience & Education
- 3+ years in data leadership roles, preferably in SaaS, analytics, or stakeholder/media-centric platforms
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degrees in quantitative fields are a plus
- Track record of translating data strategy into measurable business value
- Technical Proficiency
- Expertise in SQL, Python, R, Spark, Airflow, and modern data toolkits
- Hands-on experience with data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI
- Experience working with unstructured text/media data and knowledge graphs is highly valued
- Familiarity with our broader tech stack to coordinate effectively with engineering: React, Node.js, Neo4j, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, Terraform (Nice-to-have)

Interview Process:
- 2nd round - Online Technical interview: 1 hour
- 3rd round - In-person Culture-fit interview: 1 hour
- Final round - Online interview: 45 minutes
