Job summary

Kerry Consulting is partnering with an established organisation undergoing a major technology transformation to appoint a Head of Cybersecurity. The role will lead cybersecurity defence, security engineering and resilience initiatives across enterprise IT, cloud, applications, AI and selected OT environments.

You will strengthen security foundations, drive secure technology transformation and prepare the organisation for emerging threats, including AI-enabled attacks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in CS/IT/Cybersecurity.
• 15+ years of cybersecurity experience.
• Strong technical expertise across cloud, infrastructure, application security, IAM.
• Experience leading transformation and teams.
• Knowledge of AI/LLM security and Zero Trust.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity defence and resilience initiatives across enterprise technology environments.
• Strengthen security controls across identity, endpoints, networks, cloud, applications, APIs and data.
• Enhance vulnerability management, threat detection, incident response, ransomware preparedness and recovery capabilities.
• Reduce attack surfaces and drive continuous improvements in cyber resilience.
• Embed security-by-design principles across technology architecture and software development.
• Strengthen DevSecOps capabilities through automated security testing, CI/CD security controls and software supply chain protection.
• Partner with engineering teams to integrate security into cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
• Develop security capabilities to address AI-assisted and emerging cyber threats.
• Explore AI-enabled technologies to improve threat detection, vulnerability discovery and remediation.
• Establish security controls for GenAI and agentic AI environments, including risks relating to prompt injection, data leakage and insecure integrations.
• Strengthen cloud security, Zero Trust, IAM, API security, Kubernetes and secrets management.
• Oversee cybersecurity across selected OT and connected operational environments.
• Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to ensure security, availability and operational resilience.
• Drive penetration testing, red teaming, threat modelling and adversarial simulations to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
• Lead and develop a cybersecurity team, fostering technical excellence and accountability.
• Engage senior management and technology stakeholders on cybersecurity strategy, emerging risks and security improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will lead cybersecurity defence, security engineering and resilience initiatives across enterprise IT, cloud infrastructure, applications, AI and selected operational technology (OT) environments.

This role requires a technically strong cybersecurity leader who can strengthen foundational security capabilities, drive secure technology transformation and prepare the organisation for emerging cyber threats, including AI-enabled attacks.

Key Responsibilities:

Cyber Defence & Resilience

• Lead cybersecurity defence and resilience initiatives across enterprise technology environments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of cybersecurity experience, with a strong background in security engineering, architecture or cyber defence.
• Strong technical expertise across cloud and infrastructure security, application security, DevSecOps, IAM and modern enterprise technologies.
• Proven track record in leading cybersecurity transformation, engineering initiatives and technical teams.
• Good understanding of threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, offensive security and cyber resilience.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies, including AI/LLM security, cloud-native platforms and Zero Trust architecture.
