IT Operations manages the critical IT infrastructure and supporting services for HSBC employees and customers, including hardware, system software, middleware, databases, data centres, networks, ATMs, desktops, and other devices.

This area includes five functions: Client Services, Enterprise Services and Architecture, Data Centre and Service Management, Relationship Management, and Project Management, along with Risk and Administration. These define and deliver HSBC’s technology strategy to support the Group’s goals.

We are seeking a high-caliber professional to join our team as a Head of Cyber Security Singapore.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Lead and manage the cybersecurity function for Singapore, overseeing all aspects of cyber risk management, threat detection, incident response, and executing the global cybersecurity strategy within Singapore.
• Manage stakeholders including the Market/Entity Board(s), CIO, COO, CEO, cybersecurity leadership, staff, and external bodies such as regulators. You will raise awareness of cybersecurity risks, educate market management on risk levels, and guide mitigation actions.
• Ensure appropriate oversight mechanisms and high standards of internal cybersecurity controls for the Singapore market, including identifying emerging threats.
• Assist in defining and executing the global cybersecurity strategy based on business needs, ensuring effective protection of information and technology assets both locally and globally.
• Implement cybersecurity best practices, standards, and governance frameworks in Singapore, adapting controls to the evolving threat landscape and ensuring stakeholder ownership.
• Represent Singapore cybersecurity in management and governance forums, such as Risk Management Meetings, Audit and Risk Committees, etc.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity controls, facilitate access to cybersecurity services, and understand the market’s critical assets, threats, vulnerabilities, and risk levels, aligned with global and local requirements.
• Collaborate with global, regional, and market stakeholders to support incident response and implement cybersecurity goals within regulatory and budget constraints.
