A leading organization is seeking a Head of Department to spearhead integrated branding and communication strategies. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience in branding and corporate communications, lead a high-performing team, and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms. Overview
As the Head of Department, you will lead the charge in building, implementing and executing integrated branding and communications strategies that elevate the organization’s public image, public perception, and foster strong stakeholder relationships while ensuring consistent and compelling messaging across internal and external communications
Responsibilities
Brand Strategy and Management
Lead the development, articulation, and stewardship of brand identity, voice, and narrative
Oversee brand architecture, positioning, and visual identity to ensure consistency across all digital and physical platforms and initiatives
Guide cross-functional teams in embedding brand principles into programs, services, and internal culture
Strategic Communications
Develop and execute long-term and campaign-specific communications strategies aligned with business objectives
Advis the leadership team on reputation management, crisis communications and media engagement
Develop and strengthen thought leadership platforms to strategically position the organization and its leadership as credible and influential voices within the sector
Stakeholder Engagement
Design and manage communication strategies tailored to diverse stakeholder groups, including the media, partners, funders, clients, government and the public
Ensure strategic alignment between internal communications, public relations, and stakeholder outreach
Content and Channel Management
Oversee content strategy and production across digital, print and event platforms
Ensure message clarity, tone, and storytelling excellence across all owned, earned, shared and paid media
Drive innovation in digital storytelling, brand experiences and audience engagement
Leadership and Team Development
Lead and mentor a high performing team in communications, design, and public affairs
Foster collaboration across departments to support integrated and campaign planning and execution
Measurement and Insights
Define and track KPIs to assess brand health, communications effectiveness, and stakeholder sentiment
Use analytics and audience insights to inform strategy and optimize campaigns
Requirements
Bachelor’s in Mass Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Media Studies, Advertising or a related field
Minimum 8 years of experience in branding, corporate communications, digital marketing or a related field with 3 years in a leadership role
Proven track record in leading cross-functional communication strategies and brand building
Visionary thinking with the ability to align branding and strategic objectives
Exceptional communication, storytelling and writing skills
Strong media and stakeholder relations acumen
