FUNCTION: Head of Commercial Excellence

LOCATION: Singapore, Singapore (also open to candidates who are willing to relocate in Singapore)

ROLE SENIORITY: Senior Managerial

GET TO KNOW YOUR AREA:

The Head of Commercial Excellence APAC and SEA will be responsible for optimizing sales effectiveness, fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, enhancing customer experience, and improving overall business performance. This role involves developing and executing regional strategy, identifying cross-business upskilling opportunities, and integrating best practices, including standardization and KPIs. The incumbent will lead ES APAC efforts in collaboration with commercial leads to establish strong customer intimacy, build robust channel partnerships, drive effective Key Account Management (KAM) planning and execution, enhance the adoption of innovation in the market, and manage resources efficiently. Additionally, the role requires leading the strong field adoption of virtual and digital tools while fostering a digital mindset across the organization. The incumbent will also be responsible for the operational implementation of the COMEX strategy in the SEA region, working directly with the Head of SEA.

YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:

SET UP SALES STRATEGIES AND ACCOUNT PLANNING ACROSS REGION

  • Develop commercial strategy in line with Commercial Heads
  • Define with businesses customer segmentation and drive execution
  • Develop and enhance account planning and Service level approach through customer needs assessment, and resource planning
  • Collect and leverage market insights and collaboration with regional intelligence manager

OVERSEE Go to Market, Sales Operations Execution

  • Monitor and optimize channel management
  • Define Strategic Pricing position with the Pricing team and drive Program effectiveness at the local level
  • Working with country LT on go-to-market strategies including lead generation
  • Commercial Policies / Documentation tracking
  • Ensure CRM usage and leverage insights/inputs

DEVELOP SALES FORCE EFFECTIVENESS

  • Set up Performance management (data analysis and KPIs)
  • Elaborate appropriate Sales Incentives Plans
  • Responsible for capability building and Training
  • Ensure coaching and change management

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Reports to the Head of APAC, and sits on APAC LT
  • Internal: Commercial Heads, and business teams, Marketing Teams (portfolio, activation, pricing, business intelligence and brand) Support functions (Finance and Supply, customer Sces)
  • External: customers, local stakeholders

ARE YOU READY FOR THE ROLE?

Main requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of at least 10 years in a senior commercial leadership role with experience in driving commercial excellence strategies.
  • Strong background in sales process optimization, sales training, and performance management.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and data-driven decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and adapt to changing priorities.
