About your team

The APAC ex Japan Distribution team is a dynamic and integral part of our organisation, responsible for driving business growth and client retention across the APAC region.

About your role

In this role, the individual will work closely with APAC Country Heads, Distribution & Marketing Leaders, Investment Management and Client Propositions to develop strategic business plans for our investment and product capabilities managed by both Fidelity International and Fidelity Investments. The individual will represent the distribution businesses in the implementation of initiatives to enhance our range of capabilities, strengthen product & investment capability commercialisation and accelerate growth across the APAC ex Japan Distribution business.

This role requires collaboration with key stakeholders across the company including Distribution, Client Propositions, Investment Management and Marketing.

  • In line with the strategic direction of the organisation, analyse client demand, internal distribution insights and external trends to develop and implement initiatives which position Fidelity for commercial success in APAC ex Japan.
  • Act as a key liaison on behalf of APAC distribution leaders with Product, Client Propositions, Investment Management and Investment Directing teams on key capability initiatives including the distribution of FMR capabilities through Fidelity fund wrappers.
  • Collaborate with Client Propositions, Investment Directing, Investment Management, Marketing and Product teams to ensure the development of an innovative and differentiated range of investment capabilities across asset classes which meet varying client investment requirements.
  • Review and enhance the APAC ex Japan sales planning and execution process to establish a clear framework to develop multi-year commercial plans for each of our investment capabilities including active equities, fixed income, multi-asset, systematic, ETF and private markets in collaboration with IM, Product and Client Proposition leaders.
  • Lead the development of sales planning for our product franchises and capabilities to enable more coordinated, focused and effective collaboration between distribution and marketing teams across APAC ex Japan.
  • Represent APAC ex Japan Distribution on product governance forums ensuring regional commercial priorities, client needs and Sales teams requirements are embedded in product-related decisions.
  • Ensure there is an efficient and robust governance framework in place in APAC ex Japan Distribution for agreeing and driving forward product-related decisions and strategic initiatives.

About you

  • Commercially focused and experienced in investment management distribution and product, with a strong knowledge of client requirements and a deep understanding of what client-facing teams need to sell investment capabilities.
  • Adept at navigating complex organisations with numerous stakeholders and partnering effectively with them to help drive a smart client-led growth agenda.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining senior-level relationships, facilitating successful partnerships and strategic alignments.
  • Proven experience and leadership in guiding a business or functional area towards specific targets or goals and ensuring effective implementation of key initiatives.
  • A deep understanding of the asset management industry in Asia Pacific including onshore China.
  • Strong knowledge of core products and investment capabilities including equities, fixed income and multi-asset.
