As the Head of Business Development in an integrated facility management company, your role would encompass a wide range of responsibilities aimed at driving growth and expanding the company's market presence. Key job responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Market Analysis
- Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the company's goals.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive landscape.
- Analyse the healthcare market to understand client needs and tailor services to meet those demands.
- Identify opportunities for service innovation and expansion in line with market trends and client feedback.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Act as the primary point of contact for major clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
- Develop customised solutions for clients to address their specific facility management needs.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to build networks and promote the company’s services.
- Engage with industry associations and professional bodies to stay informed of industry developments and opportunities.
Sales and Revenue Growth
- Results driven and lead the business development team in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including cross-selling and up-selling services.
- Proven track records securing new accounts and manage key accounts
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand the company's client base.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals with clients, ensuring profitability and long-term partnerships.
Proposal and Contract Management
- Attend site surveys, oversee the preparation of proposals and costings, bids, and tender documents in response to client requests and market opportunities.
- Experience in clients’ RFP/RFQ/NDA/SLA processes and assessing tender platforms GeBiz, Tender Bot, Ariba, Sesami and etc.
- Ensure that all contracts are managed effectively, with attention to compliance, risk management, and financial performance.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to finalise contracts and ensure all terms are met.
Collaboration and Cross-functional Leadership
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., Operations and Finance) to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the business development team, fostering a high-performance culture.
Reporting and Performance Monitoring
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of business development strategies.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on business development activities, market conditions, and financial performance.
- Adjust strategies as necessary to respond to market changes or underperformance.
