Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience across financial services, banking, payments and related domains.
• Proven senior leadership experience in financial institutions, technology organisations or consultancies.
• Strong expertise in blockchain, DLT, digital assets, tokenisation and digital currencies.
• Track record taking complex technology or digital-finance initiatives from strategy and experimentation to implementation, commercialisation and adoption.
• Strong commercial and product mindset with experience across business cases, customer propositions and partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, roadmap and investment priorities across blockchain, digital assets, tokenisation, digital currencies and emerging technologies.
• Identify and develop opportunities to turn emerging technologies into commercial propositions and customer solutions.
• Drive initiatives from R&D and proof-of-concept through pilot, production and adoption with measurable business value.
• Lead strategic initiatives across tokenisation, tokenised deposits, digital currencies, stablecoins, CBDCs and digital asset infrastructure.
• Build and manage relationships across regulators, financial institutions, fintechs and industry bodies.
• Develop a focused portfolio of quantum and advanced computing applications for financial services relevance.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Cyber Security, Technology and Operations to ensure governance from the outset.

We are partnering with a leading financial institution in Singapore to appoint an Executive Director to lead its strategy and commercialisation agenda across Blockchain, Digital Assets and Emerging Technologies.

This is a senior leadership role within the organisation’s Innovation function, focused on turning emerging technology opportunities into scalable, commercially viable and production-ready capabilities.

The successful candidate will establish a clear and prioritised emerging-technology portfolio, with a disciplined pathway from idea → experimentation → pilot → production → adoption. He/She will shape the strategic roadmap across digital assets, blockchain, tokenisation, digital currencies and selected emerging technologies, while working closely with senior business and technology leaders, regulators and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, roadmap and investment priorities across blockchain, digital assets, tokenisation, digital currencies and selected emerging technologies.
• Identify and develop opportunities to turn emerging technologies into commercial propositions, business capabilities and customer solutions.
• Drive initiatives from research and proof-of-concept through pilot, production, adoption and measurable business value.
• Lead strategic initiatives across tokenisation, tokenised deposits, digital currencies, stablecoins, CBDCs, digital asset infrastructure, custody and settlement.
• Build and manage relationships across the wider ecosystem, including regulators, financial institutions, fintechs, technology providers, market infrastructure, academia and industry bodies.
• Develop a focused portfolio of quantum, quantum-inspired and advanced-computing applications, assessing their relevance and potential application within financial services.
• Work closely with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Cyber Security, Technology, Operations and other control functions to ensure innovation is developed with appropriate governance and regulatory considerations from the outset.

What We're Looking For

• 15+ years of experience across financial services, banking, payments, capital markets, transaction banking, financial market infrastructure, technology, product, strategy or innovation.
• Significant experience in senior leadership roles, ideally within a major financial institution, technology organisation, consultancy or relevant industry ecosystem.
• Strong expertise in blockchain, DLT, digital assets, tokenisation and digital currencies, with a clear understanding of their commercial, operational and regulatory implications.
• A proven track record of taking complex technology or digital-finance initiatives from strategy and experimentation through to implementation, commercialisation and adoption.
• Strong commercial and product mindset, with experience across business cases, customer propositions, partnerships, operating models, go-to-market and value realisation.
