Our client, a renowned UK-based international education group establishing its new campus in Singapore, is seeking a Head of Admissions. This senior leadership role is pivotal in shaping the organisation’s enrolment strategy, driving sustainable growth, and safeguarding its premium positioning in a competitive international education landscape.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Lead market research and competitor analysis to position the organisation effectively.
- Present enrolment reports, forecasts, and recommendations to senior leadership and the Board.
- Set and monitor KPIs across the admissions function, including satisfaction, conversion, yield, and retention.
- Provide leadership during market or economic challenges impacting enrolment.
2. Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing admissions team, including Officers, Assistants, and Parent Ambassadors.
- Conduct performance reviews with clear objectives and professional development plans.
- Build a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure training programmes support consistent, high-quality family engagement.
3. Customer Journey Management
- Design and refine the family journey from enquiry to enrolment, ensuring a seamless and premium experience.
- Maintain detailed customer journey maps to identify key decision points and opportunities for differentiation.
- Implement standards of engagement, communication protocols, and service quality measures (e.g., turnaround time, mystery shopping).
- Introduce lead scoring and prioritisation to focus on high-potential families.
- Regularly gather and act on parent feedback to refine processes.
4. Enrolment Management & Selection
- Ensure consistent application of admissions criteria, assessments, and selection protocols.
- Oversee waitlist and late admissions management.
- Handle escalated or complex cases with discretion and care.
- Maintain strong feeder and referral networks.
5. Retention & Re-enrolment
- Lead strategies to strengthen retention and reduce attrition.
- Analyse patterns and implement targeted interventions.
- Oversee annual re-enrolment campaigns and loyalty initiatives.
- Partner with academic and support teams to address factors influencing retention.
6. Marketing & Brand Partnership
- Collaborate with the Head of Marketing to drive recruitment campaigns and visibility initiatives.
- Represent the organisation at education fairs, corporate events, and open houses.
- Build partnerships with corporations, chambers of commerce, embassies, and relocation firms.
- Lead the planning and execution of flagship admissions events and outreach initiatives.
- Oversee admissions collateral and ensure brand alignment.
7. External Relations & Partnerships
- Represent the organisation at key international events and conferences.
- Cultivate relationships with corporate HR, mobility managers, and international organisations.
- Engage with ministries and regulators on relevant policy matters where needed.
8. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, accreditation standards, and data protection.
- Maintain ethical and transparent admissions practices.
- Lead internal and external audits of admissions processes.
9. Data & Reporting
- Develop and maintain dashboards for real-time tracking of admissions performance.
- Produce regular analysis and market benchmarking for senior leadership and the Board.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in admissions or enrolment management, including at least 5 years within the international education sector, ideally with exposure to Singapore or Asia-Pacific.
- Proven record of achieving or exceeding enrolment targets in competitive markets.
- Demonstrated expertise in customer journey design, service excellence, and conversion optimisation.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills with senior leadership and external partners.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and project management capabilities.
- Understanding of Singapore’s education market and regulatory context advantageous.
- Multilingual abilities (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese, Korean or others) considered an advantage due to the need to engage with diverse families and corporate partners.
- Flexibility to travel regionally and attend events or roadshows outside standard working hours when required
