About the job

The Head of Data & Insight Services is a senior leadership position within the Technology & Data Department at Kallang Alive Sport Management Co. Pte Ltd, reporting directly to the Group Head of Technology & Data. This role is responsible for driving the company’s data initiatives, with key responsibilities including:

COMMUNICATION

• Evangelizing data culture: foster a mindset that values data as a strategic asset, promoting a data-driven culture across the organization. Communicate the importance of data literacy, provide training and resources to improve data skills across teams.

• Breaking down data silos: implement data integration strategies, facilitate data sharing and collaboration. Promote cross-functional collaboration to unlock the full potential of data and drive organizational alignment. Collaborate with various departments to understand their data needs, align data initiatives with business objectives.

• Influencing executive decision-making: present actionable insights for decision making. Communicate the strategic value and potential impact of data-driven initiatives on the organization's goals, financial performance, and competitive position.

• Effective stakeholder management: Translate business requirements into data initiatives and vice versa. Set realistic expectations around the timeline, outcomes, and limitations of technology, data, and digital projects. Proactively communicate progress, potential challenges, and mitigating strategies to stakeholders to ensure alignment and manage expectations effectively.

• Data Privacy and Governance: educate business users about data protection measures, and address concerns related to data privacy and security, to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

DATA STRATEGY
Develop a comprehensive data strategy and roadmap with tangible milestones and measurable outcomes. In order to deliver organization's goals, provide meaningful insights and drive business value.

DATA CHAMPION
Cultivate a data culture within the company to consume, analyze, and produce good quality data for day-to-day activities and decision making. Promote data literacy and awareness throughout the organization. Prioritize and implement analytics use cases. In order to deliver actionable insights and tangible business value across the business units of KASM.

DATA GOVERNANCE
Establish and maintain a robust data governance framework on Data Access Control & Security, Data Availability and Retention, and Data Quality Monitoring. Stay up to date with evolving regulatory requirements and compliance standards. In order to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

LEADERSHIP
Lead the data team and manage third-party service providers. Influence business peers and promote a data-centric approach to problem-solving. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment that values knowledge sharing and continuous learning. Ensure appropriate balance between insourced and outsourced activities, best align to the values of the organization and the financial budget.

DATA PRODUCT OWNER
Responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of KASM Data Platform. Manage the support, maintenance, security and data quality. Translate business demand into actionable requirements. Lead the innovation of data capabilities through Machine Learning and AI implementation. Democratize data, enable data self-service and develop data driven products and platforms

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business analytics, statistics, data science, or STEM disciplines.

• At least 10 years of experience in data analytics or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.

• In-depth knowledge of data analytics techniques, tools, and platforms (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).

• Experience with cloud platforms and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and data protection regulations.

• Strong leadership abilities with the capability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

• Experience in leading and managing a team of data analysts, data engineering and data scientists.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets.
