About the Role
This role reports directly to the Chief Corporate Officer of SPH Media.
The Head of Communications, Engagement & Partnership will be responsible for integrating and overseeing the full spectrum of internal and external communications and engagement work across SPH Media, driving partnerships and community and social engagement in support of SPH's strategic objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and engagement strategy that aligns with SPH's strategic objectives.
Oversee and integrate internal and external communications, including media relations, public relations, digital communications, and employee engagement.
Drive partnerships and collaborations with key stakeholders, including community groups, NGOs, government agencies, and corporate partners.
Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on reputation management, media relations, crisis communications, and executive communications.
Champion employee engagement, internal storytelling, and feedback channels to build a cohesive, connected workplace culture.
Develop and maintain relationships with key influencers, thought leaders, and media representatives.
Identify, cultivate, and manage strategic partnerships that support SPH’s programmatic, commercial, and community goals.
Develop and lead the ESG communications strategy, articulating SPH’s commitments and progress in environmental stewardship, social impact, and governance.
Monitor trends, stakeholder expectations, and regulatory developments in ESG to ensure SPH remains a credible and proactive player in this space.
Lead and manage a team of communications and engagement professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure effective delivery of communications and engagement initiatives.
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation for communications and engagement initiatives.
Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of communications and engagement initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all communications channels.
Required Skills and Knowledge
Minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in communications, engagement, or partnership development, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of communications and engagement principles, including media relations, public relations, and digital communications.
Experience in developing and implementing comprehensive communications and engagement strategies.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to drive strategic initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Strong network and relationships with key stakeholders, including media representatives, influencers, and community leaders.
Required Competencies
Experience in managing and leading a team of communications and engagement professionals.
Strong understanding of digital communications, including social media and content creation.
Experience in crisis communications and reputation management.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
