About the role

Cedele is seeking an experienced and passionate Pastry Head Chef to oversee the Pastry operations of our well-established bakery and cafe. As Pastry Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled chefs, creating innovative menu items, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This is a full-time position based in our East Region location.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and implement creative, seasonal menus that align with the company's brand and customer preferences

  • Manage and mentor a team, ensuring they are properly trained, motivated and working efficiently

  • Oversee pastries preparation, presentation and service to guarantee consistent quality and timely delivery

  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations

  • Manage inventory, ordering and budgeting for the pastry department

  • Collaborate with the management team to identify new opportunities and continuously improve operations

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a reputable cafe, restaurant or bakery

  • Passion for baking and pastry

  • Excellent leadership, communication and team management skills

  • In-depth knowledge of food safety, hygiene and inventory management

  • Creativity and a flair for developing innovative menu items

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
