About the role
Cedele is seeking an experienced and passionate Pastry Head Chef to oversee the Pastry operations of our well-established bakery and cafe. As Pastry Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled chefs, creating innovative menu items, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This is a full-time position based in our East Region location.
What you'll be doing
Develop and implement creative, seasonal menus that align with the company's brand and customer preferences
Manage and mentor a team, ensuring they are properly trained, motivated and working efficiently
Oversee pastries preparation, presentation and service to guarantee consistent quality and timely delivery
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations
Manage inventory, ordering and budgeting for the pastry department
Collaborate with the management team to identify new opportunities and continuously improve operations
What we're looking for
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a reputable cafe, restaurant or bakery
Passion for baking and pastry
Excellent leadership, communication and team management skills
In-depth knowledge of food safety, hygiene and inventory management
Creativity and a flair for developing innovative menu items
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
