Location: Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore
Job Type: Full-Time
Working Hours: 5-6 day work week, shifts based on operations
Salary Range: $5,500/month (depending on experience)
Start Date: June/July 2025

Standard Bread is one of Seoul's most beloved bakery brands, known for its artisanal breads, modern Korean pastries, and visually stunning creations.
We are launching our first Singapore outlet at WEAVE, Resorts World Sentosa's newest lifestyle destination.
We are seeking a talented Head Chef Baker to lead and oversee our bakery operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and authenticity in every bake.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and supervise the kitchen team (bakers and assistants)
  • Oversee daily bakery operations, from mixing and shaping to baking and finishing
  • Ensure all breads, pastries, and bakery items meet Standard Bread's quality standards
  • Manage inventory, ordering of baking supplies, and kitchen budgeting
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized baking environment
  • Work closely with management on menu planning, seasonal items, and R&D
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (SFA regulations)
  • Uphold brand identity while localizing products to suit Singapore market when needed
  • Train local team members to master Korean baking techniques and recipes

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a bakery production environment (bread and pastries)
  • Proven leadership experience in a bakery, café, or production kitchen setting
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques: fermentation, dough development, proofing, baking, finishing
  • Familiar with Korean-style breads and pastries (preferred but not mandatory - training will be provided)
  • Passionate about artisanal baking, quality control, and team building
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays if needed
  • Possesses WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or willing to obtain)
