Qualifications

  • Mindestens 3 Jahre Erfahrung als Barista mit Schwerpunkt auf Kaffeezubereitung.
  • Fähigkeit zur Kalibrierung von Espresso und Filterkaffee nach Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Vorbereitung und Servierung hochwertiger Getränke, insbesondere Kaffee und Espresso.
  • Führung und Schulung des Barista-Teams zur Gewährleistung eines reibungslosen Betriebs.

Job description

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Beverage Preparation and Quality Control

- Prepare and serve high-quality beverages at the Coffee bar, especially coffee and espresso based drinks, tea, non-coffee.

- Ensure consistency in beverage preparation by following standardized recipes and SOPs.

- Conduct regular taste tests and quality checks to maintain product excellence.

2. Team Leadership:

- Manage, train, and mentor barista staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

- Schedule shifts and delegate tasks effectively to ensure smooth operations.

- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

3. Customer Service & hospitality

- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns.

- Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for guests

4. Inventory Management:

- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies as needed.

- Conduct regular inventory checks to prevent shortages and manage waste.

5. Equipment Maintenance:

- Ensure all coffee-making equipment is clean, well-maintained, and functioning properly.

- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and coordinate repairs as necessary.

6. Health and Safety Compliance:

- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

- Train staff on proper hygiene practices and equipment safety.

7. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Workflows

- Develop and implement SOPs for beverage preparation, cleaning, and inventory management.

- Create workflows to streamline operations and improve efficiency, ensuring all staff are trained and compliant.

- Regularly review and update SOPs as needed to adapt to changes in the café environment or industry standards.

8. Team Collaboration

- Foster a collaborative work environment by encouraging open communication among team members.

- Organize team meetings to discuss challenges, share feedback, and celebrate successes.

- Promote a culture of support and teamwork to enhance employee morale and performance.

9. Reporting and Administration

- Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and staff performance.

- Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the café.


Working Hours:

Mon-Fri only, closed on every PH

10am - 5pm, 5 days work week, up to 37 hours/week


Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of coffee/barista experience.

  • Able to calibrate espresso and filter based coffees to specifications & standards

  • Able to do intermediate - advanced level latte art to standards

  • Preferably 1 year of experience in the food and beverage industry.

  • Possess the mandatory Basic Food Hygiene Certificate for food handling.

  • A positive work attitude and a team player, excelling in a fast-paced environment.
