Job summary

A leading cake shop in Singapore seeks an experienced Cake Artist to prepare and decorate cakes, including fondant work. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in cake preparation and decoration, possess attention to detail, and mentor junior staff. The role also involves contributing ideas to marketing strategies. Competitive salary package based on experience offered.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years experience with cake preparations, baking, and frosting.
• At least 5 years experience decorating customized cakes, including handling of fondant.

Job description

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Prepare (including frost and bake) cakes in a variety of shapes;
• Mould fondant decorations independently;
• Assembly of finished products (including, in particular, customized buttercream cakes with fondant decorations) without supervision;
• Mentor and guide junior Cake Artist & Bakers within the Company;
• Contribute ideas effectively to, and assist, the management of the Company on executing marketing and business development strategies.

Our ideal candidate:

• At least 5 years experience with cake preparations, baking, and frosting.
• At least 5 years experience decorating customised cakes, including handling of fondant.
• Good attention to detail.
