Job Description:
- Attend daily production meetings
- Manage inventory and stock takes, order supplies
- Manage and coordinate baking staff to ensure smooth operations
- Clean and prepare all baking materials for specific jobs
- Assemble all dry and wet ingredients for production
- Work alone or with a team to execute recipes
- Utilise industrial equipment to facilitate efficient production
- Handle hot or dangerous items with care
- Ensure baked goods are stored and packaged properly
- Adhere to all health, sanitation, and safety clothing requirements
Requirements:
- Availability to work from 4am to 2pm
- Preferably 2-3 years of experience as a head baker
- Experience with baking continental bread (sourdough, baguette, brioche, loaves, buns/rolls)
- Experience with cakes (European cheesecake, mousse cakes, chiffons, butter cakes, pound cakes, piping, glazing, ganache)
- Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders, dough sheeters, etc.
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Willing to work a 6-day week, including weekends and holidays
