Job summary

BeeX in Singapore develops Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicles for offshore inspection and asset protection. The Test Engineer will design and execute tests to verify HAUV subsystems and full vehicles, from bench checks to sea trials, collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to ensure field readiness.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree and 1–5 years of test experience, with hands-on use of test equipment and scripting for data analysis.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics, or Marine Engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years in test, validation, or systems engineering, preferably on robotics or marine systems.
• Hands-on with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analysers, data loggers, and pressure test equipment.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Scripting for test automation and data analysis (Python, MATLAB).
• Structured, methodical approach to testing and clear technical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run verification and validation tests across HAUV subsystems.
• Perform vehicle-level functional tests including navigation and hovering control.
• Run HIL and bench tests to validate firmware and autonomy behavior.
• Conduct pressure, environmental, and endurance testing on hulls and enclosures.
• Plan and run tank and sea trials; collect and analyse trial data.
• Design test rigs and write test plans, procedures, and reports.
