A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Hardware Engineer to design and develop electrical control systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for schematics, layout designs, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while collaborating with clients.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and interpret project requirements to develop effective execution plans for component design, system component selection, and design specifications
Develop detailed electrical control schematics for automated equipment
Design 2D and 3D layouts, including electrical panel arrangements and cable routing diagrams
Prepare and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) for equipment
Ensure the integration of safety considerations into designs in compliance with applicable local regulations and standards
Conduct debugging, testing, and optimization of existing products to enhance performance and reliability
Deliver technical support both in-house and on-site, including preparation of technical documentation and facilitation of training sessions
Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering
Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, E3 and Altium Designer
Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in control panel design is essential
Strong attention to detail, particularly in design accuracy and dimensional specifications
Solid knowledge of control components, with the ability to select appropriate components based on project requirements
Experience in PLC control system design, programming and testing is a plus
Demonstrate ability to work independently, including direct interaction with customers to define and refine technical specifications
Strong communication skills with the ability to contribute effectively to team discussions and project meetings
