Job summary

Fokker Technologies is seeking a Hangar Assistant to support Aircraft Technicians during maintenance tasks and keep the hangar clean, organized, and operational. You will work under supervision to assist with various maintenance-related activities and ensure safety at all times.

This role requires a hands-on, physically demanding approach with attention to detail. Prior experience in hangar or aerospace environments is preferred, with certifications in scissor and boom lift beneficial.

Qualifications

• Minimum ITE holder, GCE ‘O’ Level, or a qualification in Aerospace Engineering.
• Scissor and Boom Lift certification is preferable.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Knowledge of Base Maintenance activities would be an added advantage.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties both inside and outside the aircraft during maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and organized hangar environment.
• Assist in moving and positioning aircraft ground support equipment (GSE).
• Conduct minor paint touch-ups, including screws and fasteners, using brushes.
• Follow all safety regulations and maintenance protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
• Support the maintenance team with general tasks as required
