Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Singapore seeks an experienced M&E Manager (Hands-On) to oversee daily building services operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, lifts and BMS. You will lead managers/engineers, recruit, manage performance, and coordinate contractors and vendors to ensure reliable maintenance.

The role emphasizes compliance with local codes (Fire Code, WSH), budgeting, procurement, and continuous improvement, with travel across sites and readiness for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering (building services/facilities preferred).
• 7–10 years of M&E facilities management experience.
• At least 3 years in a senior or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of local codes/standards (e.g., Fire Code, WSH).
• Leadership, budgeting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel across sites and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily M&E operations (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, lifts, BMS) and ensure maintenance aligns with schedules and SOPs.
• Lead and develop managers/engineers, including recruitment and performance management; oversee contractors and vendors for outsourced services.
• Act as main client contact, attend meetings, and provide regular performance and improvement reports; drive cost optimisation and asset management.
• Ensure regulatory compliance through audits/inspections; manage incidents and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Administer budgets, contracts, and procurement; lead continuous improvement initiatives.
