Job summary

SMITECH ENGINEERING PTE LTD is seeking a hands-on Civil & Structural Engineer to support infrastructure projects in Singapore. The role focuses on siteworks, coordination, and technical support across civil and structural disciplines.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience, and familiarity with local authority requirements. Some weekend work may be required to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant C&S / civil infrastructure experience.
• Experience in infrastructure, utilities, roadworks, drainage, underground services or public infrastructure projects is advantageous.
• Familiarity with LTA, PUB or other local authority requirements is advantageous.
• Able to read and understand civil/structural drawings and technical specifications.
• Basic AutoCAD knowledge is a plus.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a project/site team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for civil and structural works on site.
• Coordinate C&S works with project teams, consultants, clients, subcontractors and other engineering disciplines.
• Review construction drawings, technical specifications and method statements.
• Monitor site works to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and assist in resolving technical issues.
• Coordinate civil infrastructure works such as utilities, drainage, roadworks and underground services.
• Prepare and maintain site documentation and progress updates.
• Ensure works comply with Singapore authorities and safety requirements.
• Support testing, inspection, handover and project completion activities.
• Support occasional weekend site activities when required.
