Job summary

Tandem Co in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Kitchen Assistant to support our bakery and café operations. You will handle daily food preparation, assist the baker, and help with light cooking while maintaining cleanliness and food safety in the kitchen.

This full-time, 5-day-a-week role offers a salary of SGD 2,300–2,600 per month, with weekend availability as required. We value reliable, proactive team players who are eager to learn and grow with the café.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen, café or bakery experience is preferred.
• Comfortable with basic food preparation and light cooking.
• Willing to learn and take direction.
• Reliable, punctual and responsible.
• Proactive and able to work independently when required.
• Good attention to cleanliness and food hygiene.
• Positive attitude and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist the baker with daily baking preparation and production
• Prepare ingredients, portion items and assist with general kitchen prep
• Handle simple cooking such as pastas, sandwiches and other light café dishes
• Assist with food plating and presentation
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and work areas
• Wash and sanitise equipment, utensils and work surfaces
• Follow proper food safety and hygiene practices
• Assist with stock checking, storage and kitchen inventory
• Support the wider café team with other kitchen duties when required
