Job summary

RecruitSG in Singapore-based defence sector seeks an Accountant to manage day-to-day accounts, month-end closing, financial reporting and GST compliance. The role sits in-house with the finance team and requires ownership of accounting cycles.

You will maintain fixed assets, inventories, assist with audits and budget support, and coordinate with external service providers. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of practical accounting experience and a strong eye for accuracy.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of full-set accounts and financial reporting.
• Experience with GST submissions and statutory reporting.
• Proficient in Xero and Excel.
• Comfortable with audit support and external deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Experience in inventory accounting and cost-related aspects would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handle full sets of accounts including GL, AP and AR.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Produce monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor cash flow and day-to-day financial transactions.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax agents and service providers.
