Key Responsibilities

Client Consultation & Advisory Services

Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their hairdressing needs, preferences, and lifestyle requirements

Provide expert advice on suitable haircuts, hairstyles, and hair color options based on clients' physical features, face shape, skin tone, and hair type

Recommend appropriate hair care products and explain their benefits to enhance clients' hair health and styling results

Stay updated with the latest hair trends, techniques, and styling methods to offer contemporary options

Technical Hair Services

Perform precision cutting, trimming, and shaping of clients' hair, including working with wigs, hair extensions, hairpieces, and toupees

Execute professional shampooing, conditioning, and drying treatments

Provide expert hair coloring, highlighting, and chemical treatment services

Master the use of various hairstyling tools and equipment including:

Hair straighteners and curling irons

Professional rollers and hairdryers

Hot combs and specialized styling tools

Create diverse hairstyles including blowouts, curls, braids, and updos

Salon Operations & Client Relations

Build and maintain strong personal relationships with clients to ensure repeat visits and client loyalty

Manage appointment scheduling efficiently and maintain accurate client records

Welcome clients warmly and ensure a relaxing, comfortable salon environment

Process client payments using cash register and payment systems when required

Act as a sales consultant to promote and sell hair care retail products and additional services

Health, Safety & Maintenance Standards

Clean and sterilize all hairdressing tools and instruments according to state health and safety regulations

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations and equipment at all times

Practice proper housekeeping standards throughout the salon

Ensure compliance with all salon safety protocols and cleanliness standards

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven work experience as a hairstylist or hairdresser (minimum experience preferred)

Comprehensive knowledge of hair cutting, coloring, and styling techniques across different hair types

Familiarity with professional hair care products, tools, and equipment

Relevant certification or diploma in hairstyling, cosmetology, or related field (preferred)
