Hair Stylist Assistant / Receptionist

Key Responsibilities:

As a Hair Stylist Assistant:

• Assist stylists with preparing clients for their appointments, including shampooing, conditioning, and drying hair.
• Organize and maintain stylist workstations, keeping tools and products clean and ready for use.
• Provide general support to stylists during haircuts, color treatments, and other services.
• Help with sanitization and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Assist with inventory management, ensuring products and supplies are stocked.

As a Receptionist:

• Greet and check in clients with a warm and friendly demeanor.
• Manage appointment scheduling, including booking, rescheduling, and confirming appointments.
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries about services, pricing, and availability.
• Process client payments and handle cash or card transactions.
• Keep track of client records, ensuring accurate details and a smooth flow of information.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including filing and maintaining client files.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a salon or customer service environment is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, friendly demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and handle busy periods with grace.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• A passion for the beauty industry and a desire to grow within the field.
• Ability to work in a team and support both stylists and clients.
