Job description

Lead a Coaching Team. Shape Young Lives. Build a Gym That Matters.

We’re hiring a Gym Manager to run the show — from day-to-day operations to developing junior coaches and building meaningful relationships with families.

If you’re organised, people-oriented, and passionate about children’s movement-based learning (ages 4–12), this is your chance to lead with impact.

About the Organisation

This is a well-established children's fitness academy offering structured, obstacle-based movement programmes (parkour, gymnastics) to primary school-aged kids.

The work is high-touch, fast-paced, and deeply mission-driven. Your role? Own the gym, coach when needed, guide your team, and ensure everything runs like clockwork — from parent comms to lesson flow to admin ops.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & People Management

  • Oversee daily gym operations, bookings, admin, and logistics
  • Lead, support, and coach a team of junior coaches
  • Step in to teach classes (ages 4–12) when needed
  • Ensure safe, high-quality delivery and positive class transitions

Programme Delivery & Quality

  • Guide the team in delivering consistent curriculum experiences
  • Develop class plans and support lesson execution
  • Review and refine class offerings, feedback loops, and SOPs

Parent Engagement & Customer Service

  • Communicate with parents professionally and warmly
  • Manage feedback, resolve concerns, and build trust
  • Support retention through relationship-building and quality care

Admin & Business Ops

  • Manage class bookings, staff rosters, trial classes, and payments
  • Track attendance, scheduling, and revenue milestones
  • Liaise with external vendors when required
  • Coordinate with HQ on system updates and process improvement

Centre Growth & Community Partnerships

  • Identify new opportunities for outreach and programme enhancement
  • Build school and community partnerships where relevant
  • Support localised marketing initiatives and open house events
We’re Looking For Someone With
  • At least 2–3 years’ experience in gym or centre management, ideally in a children’s coaching or sports movement setting
  • Hands-on leadership experience — you’re not afraid to jump in and coach
  • Strong team management, admin, and customer engagement skills
  • Proven ability to manage both ops and people
  • Experience with youth sports, early childhood fitness, gymnastics, or similar
  • Warm, calm, and confident communicator — especially with parents
Nice to Have (Bonus)
  • Background in gymnastics, parkour, or related sports
  • Familiarity with class management tools and backend systems
  • CPR / First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
  • Experience working with children with diverse learning profiles
Work Schedule

This is a 5-day work week, consisting of:

  • 3 weekdays: 9:30am – 6:30pm (includes 1-hour lunch break)
  • Saturdays & Sundays: 9:00am – 6:30pm
Why This Role Stands Out
  • You’ll lead with purpose and shape the future of youth fitness
  • Be part of a close-knit, mission-led team culture
  • Grow your leadership skills while staying close to the ground
  • Direct impact on kids, families, and the next generation of coaches
