A leading hotel is seeking a Guest Services Officer to deliver exceptional service and facilitate guest experiences. Responsibilities include managing financial transactions, assisting guests with check-in, and ensuring accurate billing. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and a minimum of one year of hotel front office experience. As a Guest Services Officer, you’ll deliver exceptional service to guests through excellent service and answering their enquiries that exceeds their expectations. You’ll also create the warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home in any location.
A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
Maintaining cashier float, ensure accurate daily report of money received and performs audit balances in accordance to accounting policies and procedures
Maintaining intimate knowledge of departmental standards and procedures
Assisting with hotel guest’s check in swiftly and efficiently
Ensuring all billings are accurate
Greeting guests in a friendly and helpful manner and attempts to learn and use guest’s name at every opportunity
Carrying out hotel guest’s personal and travellers checks transactions and assisting with currency exchange
Taking ownership and attending to guest’s request of using the service of safety box at all times
Ensuring all policies and procedures are aligned to OH&S guidelines
Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
Logging security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements
When on night shift, checking night report, preparing the morning report and preparing all necessary forms for the following day’s guest arrivals
Be aware of all special promotion procedures and registers and rooms all arrivals according to the hotel’s established procedures
Upselling of Hotel product or services (Sales incentives will be provided)
What we need from you
A minimum qualification in GCE O levels
At least 1 year of relevant work experience in a hotel front office environment
Be quick witted and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Possess a pleasant personality and have strong interpersonal skills
Able to work rotating working shift hours - Morning, Afternoon and Night Shift (5 days work week, 9.5hours per shift including 45 minutes meal break)
