The Guest Room Ambassador (Housekeeping Room Attendant) ensures the cleanliness and orderly presentation of assigned service apartments and maintains a positive overall impression of the hotel in accordance with the hotel’s procedures and standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for cleaning an allocated number of apartments as set by the Guest Room Team Leader, following working procedures.
- Clean bedrooms: change bed linen, vacuum carpets, mop floors, and replenish all guest supplies.
- Wash bathrooms, glasses, and replenish towels and bathroom amenities.
- Empty rubbish bins.
- Clean living rooms: vacuum carpets, mop floors, and replenish supplies.
- Clean kitchen and appliances, wash cutlery, crockery, glasses, and cooking utensils.
- Clean internal windows, door panels, and sills.
- Maintain all housekeeping cleaning machines and equipment in good working condition.
- Report any loss or damage to linen, furniture, fixtures, and equipment to the Guest Room Team Leader.
- Understand the use of mobile devices or apps to update apartment status.
- Set up rollaway beds and baby cots, deliver electrical plugs or special requests from guests.
- Report repairs and damages needing maintenance to the Guest Room Team Leader.
- Maintain professionalism, ethics, grooming, and attitude towards guests and colleagues. Interact professionally and respectfully with guests.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
