Job description

Location at Joo Chiat Road

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for taking reservations, answering the phone, replying to WhatsApp messages before and during service, responding to any guest requests etc
  • Welcome guests warmly to the restaurant
  • Be helpful, welcoming and pleasant towards each guest.
  • Acknowledge special occasions when notified by customer and keying it in the system for the booking.
  • Liaise with the kitchen and GM on the special requests of the week.
  • Utilise the systems to its full potential, maximise bookings, create a database of all regular patrons of the restaurant, building a detailed record of guest such as their birthdays, anniversaries, allergies and preferences etc.
  • Assist other service crew with work including, but not limited to cleaning the tables, tidying up and setting silverware during service and getting ready for the next seating
  • Serve food & beverage to guest when required.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Tourism / Hospitality Management
  • Fluent in English
  • Good people skills
  • Good organizer and planner
  • Well-groomed
  • Proactively taking on additional responsibilities where required.
  • Can think out of the box
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience with customer service preferably at a hotel or a restaurant

Benefits:

- 12 days AL (with increment of 1 day per year until the max of 17 days)

- The Employee shall be entitled to either a staff meal or a meal allowance of $5 per day of work performed.
