Job description

Wise is looking for a seasoned marketing leader to come join us as our Growth Marketing Regional Lead for APAC. This role is pivotal in owning Wise's growth strategy across APAC, working with product teams on launches and regional initiatives, managing multi-channel campaigns, and leading and developing a team of Growth Marketers and Social Media Marketers.

Your Mission:

  • Getting to a very strong understanding of our APAC/Asia markets customers (who they are, what needs they have and their pain points)
  • Getting to a strong understanding of the current product USPs and features, regional context including compliance and regulation (both product and marketing), future roadmap and usage by existing customer segments, with support from Marketing and Product Analysts
  • Monitoring key performance metrics with Product such as NPS, retention, stickiness, onboarding funnel, VPC
  • Providing feedback to Product on their roadmap given local marketing audience insight and opportunities
  • Being accountable for developing a strategic marketing plan to drive growth across the funnel, taking into account target audience, messaging and positioning, media and creative strategy
  • Be developed with global marketing channel teams (Paid, Organic, Invite) and aligned to the economics and broad positioning / audience of Wise in the market to facilitate optimisation. Working with these teams to iterate creative / content / keywords /landing pages and agreeing levels of spend given team constraints
  • Include a review and challenge of CRM plans on product upsell/cross-sell strategy + testing in CRM given audiences and feature adoption in the market
  • Potentially includes defining 'campaigns' around product launches or seasonal events
  • Include net new testing plans with existing teams and/or local partners / agencies (eg Grab, Wechat, Alipay)
  • Being accountable for delivering against the plan, with agreed KPls being monitored and narrating impact and next steps across the business, both to finance and the wider Marketing and Product org
  • Ultimately being accountable to Marketing for incremental sustainable growth in the region against the plan - with agreed level of P&L accountability with global marketing teams to enable local testing and execution within prescribed constraints
  • Contribute to the Singapore marketing hub in terms of leadership and guidance (beyond marketing tribe - i.e. you should be comfortable being the face of marketing to the local team)

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Singaporean Citizen/Permanent Resident of Singapore
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in driving successful marketing campaigns and initiatives across diverse channels, ideally in a growth marketing or regional expansion capacity
  • Significant experience with hands-on execution of regional marketing campaigns in APAC markets, coupled with a deep understanding of regional nuances
  • Proven capability in leading and mentoring successful marketing teams, including developing a high performing team of growth marketers and social media personnel
  • Expert understanding of customer acquisition and retention, performance marketing, and brand growth strategies
  • Strong experience in coordinating across global marketing channels and product teams, especially in environments without established local teams, to influence marketing directions and align campaigns with product roadmaps and regional initiatives
  • Exceptional ability to prioritize customer needs and preferences in creating resonant marketing campaigns across diverse markets
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with local partners, vendors, and community stakeholders

Desirable Skills and Experiences:

  • Prior experience in high-growth, consumer-focused companies, demonstrating an ability to scale marketing functions effectively
  • Previous experience in developing or working within a global marketing model is a plus
  • Experience in organizing offline events, brand marketing, and leveraging these channels to enhance market presence
  • Proficiency in any additional APAC language is advantageous
