About the Role
We are a growing multinational commodities-trading group seeking an experienced and proactive Group HR Generalist to join our Singapore-based headquarters. This is a strategic, multi-regional role suited for a high-performing HR professional with strong systems, legal, and cross-cultural capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full-spectrum HR operations, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and training.
- Manage employment, EoR, and service contracts across various jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local labour laws and company policy.
- Lead the implementation of a new Human Resource Management (HRM) system and its integration with the company’s existing ERP system.
- Develop and update HR policies and processes in line with business needs and regional compliance requirements.
- Provide HR support and guidance to business units in Singapore and overseas, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
- Ensure HR practices comply with employment regulations and standards in Singapore, UAE, and China.
- Liaise with legal department as needed for cross-border employment matters.
- Facilitate HR reporting and contribute to audits and internal governance.
- Maintain effective communication with regional teams.
- Open to business travel when required to support international HR operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a degree in Law is highly preferred as candidate is expected to manage employment and service contracts.
- At least 7 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in commodities trading industry, including hands-on responsibility for multi-company HRM system implementation and ERP integration (this is a must-have requirement).
- Demonstrated ability to manage employment contracts and HR legal documentation.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and practices in Singapore, UAE, and China.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively across cultures and time zones.
- Fluency in Mandarin, Russian, and English (both written and spoken) to support communication with employees across global offices, international contractors, and stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel overseas for business needs.
