Job summary

Hytech in Singapore is seeking Finance Partners for the Group Functions Finance Partnering team. You will own budgets, forecasts, headcount planning and cost drivers for assigned functions, partnering with function heads to align financial targets with business strategy.

The role requires business-partnering experience, the ability to challenge investment assumptions with evidence, and fluency in English and Chinese to support cross-regional reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related discipline.
• 5+ years in FP&A / Finance Business Partnering / Business Finance.
• Background in financial services, FinTech, internet platforms or large multinational shared-service environments.
• Sound understanding of the cost structure and workload drivers of service organisations, with the ability to connect volumes and service levels to headcount and cost.
• Strong financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and scenario planning skills.
• Plus: working SQL / Power BI skills; experience with cost allocation, shared-services pricing or intercompany charging.
• Able to build trust with senior function heads and influence decisions without formal authority; high ownership, comfortable challenging investment and budget assumptions with evidence while operating as a partner rather than a cost policeman.
• Fluency in English and Chinese to support cross-regional collaboration and bilingual reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual budget, rolling forecasts and long-range planning for assigned functions; track actuals vs budget and explain variances and risks to function heads and Group management.
• Partner on headcount planning by team and by country, including the cost impact of location mix, hiring plans and organisational changes; build scenario models for volume growth, headcount and re-organisation decisions.
• Develop a deep understanding of each function's structure: each team's functional scope, internal customers and cost composition, maintained as a team-level cost and headcount view.
• Work with function leadership to establish how workload and output are measured (volume-driven service metrics, service levels), and connect these measures to financial data for headcount and resource decisions.
• Identify efficiency topics in how each function is structured and invested — workload-to-headcount alignment, location strategy, automation and process improvement — form hypotheses, validate them with data, and drive change with function leaders.
• Understand and maintain the logic by which function costs are allocated to brands, and clearly explain to brand stakeholders what is allocated to them and why; support the evolution of the Group's allocation and service-pricing framework.
• Lead the monthly cost review for your functions; build and continuously improve function KPIs and management dashboards; support the roll-out of the Group's expense-control processes and drive corrective actions on variances.

Job description

We are hiring Finance Partners for our Group Functions Finance Partnering team within Group FP&A. Our group functions — including Risk, Operations, Payments, Compliance, Finance and HR & Admin — comprise more than 1,500 people across Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, China and the Philippines, providing professional services to the Group's brands and forming one of the most significant parts of the Group's cost base. Each Functions FBP owns a portfolio of one to two functions, working directly with the function heads (all based in Singapore) as their primary finance counterpart on budget, headcount, cost and productivity.

The heart of this role is answering three questions: what services your functions provide to the brands and what their cost structure is; how investment should evolve as business volumes and regulatory requirements change; and by what rules next year's headcount and budget should be allocated. You will need to genuinely understand how your functions work and where their workload comes from, and build a trusted day-to-day partnership with their leaders.

Note: this role requires genuine business-partnering experience and the ability to independently face senior function heads. Pure consolidation or accounting backgrounds are not a fit.
