Job description

A well-established, SGX-listed construction group is seeking a seasoned Group Financial Controller to lead financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support strategic decision-making at the group level.

This is a critical leadership role suited for someone with strong technical depth, hands-on capability, and proven experience in managing the finance function of a listed company.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation of group financial reports and consolidated accounts across multiple entities and jurisdictions
  • Oversee the SGX reporting cycle, including quarterly announcements, board packs, and disclosure submissions
  • Ensure full compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), tax regulations, and listing rules
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, and treasury activities to support the group’s operational and project needs
  • Strengthen and maintain robust internal controls, audit readiness, and accounting processes
  • Liaise closely with auditors, corporate secretaries, tax agents, and financial institutions
  • Support the Finance Director in budgeting, financial modelling, and business planning initiatives
  • Contribute to financial input on corporate exercises, project investments, and cross-border transactions

Requirments

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance and qualified CPA, CA, or equivalent
  • At least 10–15 years of relevant experience, including prior exposure in an SGX-listed environment
  • Proven ability to manage full-spectrum finance operations, including group reporting, tax, and treasury
  • Deep knowledge of SFRS/IFRS standards and local regulatory frameworks (IRAS, ACRA, SGX)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently in a lean, fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in Mandarin to communicate with Chinese-speaking counterparts and stakeholders
  • Prior experience in property development, construction, or related industries will be highly regarded
