Job description

About the Company

Our client is a well established real estate & hospitality business and we are looking for a Group Finance Manager to join them.

About the Job

Reporting to the Assistant Finance Director, your key responsibilities encompass leading group-level financial reporting and compliance, including consolidations, financial statement preparation, and managing group audits, while also reviewing real estate management accounts and providing insightful variance analysis. The role also involves significant corporate finance and strategic transactions, such as executing funding and refinancing deals, managing loan covenant compliance, and collaborating on acquisitions, tax structuring, and other corporate exercises. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for comprehensive tax management and transfer pricing, overseeing all direct and indirect tax compliance, identifying planning opportunities, and handling tax audits. Finally, this role provides leadership and strategic support by working closely with senior management and the investment team to drive strategic decision-making and provides coaching to the finance operations team. The ideal candidate will be highly flexible, meticulous, an excellent communicator, and a problem solver.

Skills and Experience Required

A recognised degree in Accounting, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification, along with at least 10 years of relevant experience. Prior experience in external audit, especially within the real estate sector, along with expertise in consolidation and transfer pricing, would be highly advantageous.

Why this is a Good Role

This is an excellent opportunity because you'll be joining a growing and stable business where you can make a real impact. The role offers broad exposure across diverse finance functions, moving beyond just consolidation and reporting to actively manage corporate finance and strategic transactions. Plus, with the finance setup being relatively new, you'll have the unique chance to implement new processes and significantly improve existing workflows. Adding to this, the company fosters a close-knit culture and provides the flexibility of two days of work-from-home.
