Job description

Company Overview: We are an international Singapore company with diverse business interests across Southeast Asia, including hotel operations and real estate development. In Vietnam, we currently operate several hotels and are actively expanding our development pipeline with more projects anticipated in the near future.

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Group Finance Manager to oversee and manage the financial and statutory operations of our Vietnam entities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of local tax regulations, international remittance procedures, corporate finance, and regulatory compliance, particularly in the real estate and hospitality sectors. This is a key strategic role for someone with strong leadership and technical financial expertise, capable of ensuring compliance while supporting cross-border business operations and group-level financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Tax & Regulatory Compliance

  • Lead and manage all matters related to tax inspection, audits, and compliance in Vietnam.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of corporate taxes, VAT, and other statutory obligations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with the Tax Department and proactively handle any tax-related disputes or clarifications.

International Financial Transactions

  • Manage processes for remittance of funds overseas, including dividends to overseas shareholders and repayment of inter-company or external loans.
  • Ensure full compliance with Vietnamese foreign exchange control regulations and corporate governance requirements for fund movements.
  • Coordinate and liaise with the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) for foreign loan registration, approvals, and compliance filings.

Corporate Finance & Administration

  • Oversee and maintain company holding structures, ensuring proper documentation, reporting, and alignment with group strategies.
  • Provide support for group consolidation, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Manage all company administration matters, including updates to corporate registry, board resolutions, capital changes, and compliance filings.

Banking & Treasury

  • Manage local bank relationships for operations, funding, payments, and documentation requirements.
  • Support applications for new loans, bank guarantees, and credit facilities, and ensure proper documentation is maintained for all financial agreements.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, inter-company fund transfers, and treasury functions efficiently.

Operational Support

  • Work closely/train hotel finance teams to ensure alignment with group reporting standards.
  • Support real estate development finance, including project feasibility analysis, financing structure, and compliance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CFA) are an advantage.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience, ideally in a multinational company, Big 4 accounting firm, or group finance role.
  • Strong understanding of Vietnam tax laws, foreign exchange regulations, and corporate structuring.
  • Experience dealing with State Bank of Vietnam, local tax authorities, and Vietnamese commercial banks.
  • Familiarity with remittance of profits, loan repayments, and cross-border compliance in a group structure.
  • Excellent command of English and Vietnamese (spoken and written).
  • High level of integrity, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
