Job description

We are seeking an experienced and meticulous finance professional to lead our group accounting, audit, and treasury functions across multiple entities in Singapore and the United States. This role requires strong leadership, a hands-on approach to day-to-day accounting activities, and a strategic mindset for managing compliance, cash flow, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Audit

  • Ensure accurate month-end closings and compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
  • Lead the preparation of audited financial statements and coordinate with external auditors to pass Singapore statutory audits.
  • Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes across entities.
  • Maintain and reconcile intercompany transactions (Singapore ⇄ USA) accurately.

Chart of Accounts & Group Structure Integration

  • Own the chart of accounts (COA) structure for the group and ensure its integrity across all entities.
  • Standardize SG Company 2’s COA to align with the group-wide structure (already in place for SG Company 1. and US Subsidiary 1).
  • Maintain and update COA mappings to ensure consistent reporting and consolidated financial statements.
  • Work with external service providers to implement and maintain consistency across accounting systems.

Treasury & Trade Finance

  • Manage trade financing lines and monitor daily cash flow positions across bank accounts (UOB, SCB) and fintech platforms (WorldFirst, Wise).
  • Plan and ensure timely supplier payments while optimizing the use of trade finance and cashback tools.
  • Support dividend planning and short-term liquidity management.

Tax & Compliance

  • Liaise with tax agents and service providers in Singapore and the US to ensure accurate and timely tax submissions (IRAS, IRS).
  • Manage corporate tax filing and compliance for multiple entities: SG Company 1, SG Company 2, US subsidiary (Subsidiary of SG Company 2), & SG Company 3.
  • Track and maintain compliance calendars for all group filings and submissions.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Provide group-level financial reporting and cash flow Dashboards.
  • Support business decision-making with clear financial insights and data.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to accounting systems and processes.

Team Management

  • Manage, train, and support a small finance team to execute daily operations.
  • Create clear SOPs and workflows for continuity and accountability.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5-8 years of accounting or finance experience, with an audit and compliance background.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore tax, audit, and financial regulations will be a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with treasury functions and managing cross-border payments.
  • Familiarity with fintech payment platforms (WorldFirst, Wise) and corporate banking (UOB, SCB).
  • Proven experience managing & standardizing chart of accounts across entities.
  • Experience with multi-entity operations or holding company structures is a plus.
